These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Advisors Academy platform ("Platform"), operated by Advisors Academy Limited ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, kindly refrain from using the Platform.

1. User Profile Creation and Usage
To access services on Advisors Academy, users must create a profile by providing personal information and uploading necessary documents (e.g., certificates, transcripts, ID). These profiles are essential for all applications processed through the Platform.
Information shared is used only for the programs or services you choose. Our team may view but cannot alter your submitted details—ensuring transparency and data control remain with you.
We strictly comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and follow international data privacy standards like the GDPR as we expand globally.
2. Website Updates and Changes
We update the Advisors Academy website regularly to improve user experience and accuracy. New programs, universities, scholarships, or features are added through the backend by our team.
Users are encouraged to update their personal details and application information as needed. Major platform updates that may affect submitted information will be communicated in advance.
3. Prohibited Uses
The following are not allowed on our platform:
- Falsifying Information: Submitting false or incomplete documents.
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access restricted data or accounts.
- Data Abuse: Using information from the platform for marketing, resale, or third-party use without permission.
- Harassment or Discrimination: Including offensive content or behavior.
- Harmful Technology: Uploading malware or attempting to harm the system.
- Legal Violations: Misuse that breaches data, intellectual property, or regulatory laws.
Violations may lead to account suspension, legal action, or permanent removal from the platform.
4. Permitted Use
You may use the Advisors Academy platform to:
- Search & Apply: Browse programs, scholarships, and institutions in the UK, US, Canada, and more.
- Track Applications: Monitor your submissions and status updates in real-time.
- Decision Access: View admission or funding decisions from institutions.
- Book Services: Schedule sessions for visa support, test prep, or counseling via our Success Hub.
- Institutional Access: Approved partners can view relevant application details for review purposes only.
5. Age Requirements
This platform is intended for users aged 16 years and above. If you’re under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. Advisors Academy may request proof of this consent before enabling full access to services.
6. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms and/or the platform periodically. Major changes will be communicated via email or platform alerts. Continued use after such changes implies your agreement to the new Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
While we provide support and resources, Advisors Academy cannot guarantee admission or scholarships. Final decisions rest solely with institutions.
We are not liable for:
- User-submitted errors
- Institutional decisions
- Technical failures
- Misuse of data by users or third parties
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any part of these Terms found unenforceable will not affect the validity of the remaining clauses.
9. Dispute Resolution
Disputes should first be reported via legal@advisors.academy. If not resolved within 30 days, matters will be handled through arbitration at the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA), under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
- Arbitration will occur in Lagos.
- Both parties will split arbitrator fees.
- The decision will be final and binding.
10. User Responsibilities
By using the platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Upload authentic documents
- Secure your login credentials
- Report any suspicious activity
Non-compliance may lead to account suspension or permanent termination.
11. Third-Party Tools
We may integrate with external services (e.g., payment gateways, verification systems). We are not responsible for issues originating from these third parties. Users should review their terms and privacy policies.
12. Intellectual Property
All platform content (text, visuals, features, code) is owned by Advisors Academy and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer platform tools
- Reproduce or redistribute our content without written permission
13. Data Privacy
Advisors Academy processes personal data according to the NDPA 2023. By using our services, you consent to this processing solely for educational and advisory purposes.
If your data is transferred outside Nigeria, we ensure compliance with privacy laws in the receiving jurisdiction.
14. Account Suspension or Termination
Your account may be suspended or terminated for:
- Breaching these Terms
- Submitting false documents
- Violating data or IP laws
- Engaging in unauthorized scraping or system misuse
We may retain certain information for legal and audit purposes even after account closure.
15. Refunds
Refunds for paid services (e.g., consulting or processing fees) are not guaranteed. Requests must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction date and will be reviewed individually.
16. Service Availability
While we aim to maintain 24/7 uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Downtime may occur due to:
- Maintenance
- Technical faults
- Force majeure events
17. Waiver & Severability
Failure to enforce any clause in these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it in the future. If any part is found invalid, the remaining provisions will remain fully enforceable.
